Sunita de Tourreil
Sunita loves to travel. Her parents infected her with a travel bug, she saw her first cacao pods when she was three years old, living in Brazil for a year, while her "papa" was doing a Canada-Brazil engineering exchange. Sunita is the perfect person to take you on travel adventures, since it is second nature for her, and she has 14 years of experience in the chocolate industry, is a goofball at heart, loves to educate customers on all things cacao and chocolate (catch her podcast here), using cacao to transform our relationship with ourselves, and with the farmers half way across the world! Sunita has Spanish and French speaking countries covered, and she never misses a delicious meal or snack, so you are in good hands!
Seneca on his cacao farm on the north shore of Oahu. He is one of the rare tree to bar makers, and is our on hand cacao and chocolate expert.
Seneca Klassen
Seneca was also dragged all over central and south America as a child, by his adventurous father. He also spent time wandering around much of central America following his uncle on his various work assignments, learning Spanish and a desire to keep seeing new places, losing all fear of the unknown. He now grows cacao and makes chocolate on Oahu, and these trips allow him to avoid ever getting island fever, romping around new parts of the world that have yet to be explored by him. Seneca has Spanish and Portuguese covered, and he says he knows German too... he can pretty much fake most languages, even if he has limited knowledge. He has a fondness for junkie prepackaged pastries and sweets and is always on the lookout for new concoctions, much to Sunita's disdain.
Juliette Sutherland
Juliette is a match made in heaven for this traveling, film making crew. She is an adventuresome, curious, dedicated and hard working one woman film crew, who manages to slink quietly around to capture tender moments, knowing when she needs to firmly assert what needs to happen. She always makes Sunita laugh, is totally DIY, and can build an interim teleprompter out of a CD case, an upside down laptop and some books. She has realized Sunita is a terrible actress, can't memorize a sentence to save her life and is learning how to work with Sunita's strengths. She drinks ALL the water, is no nonsense when appropriate and always has a gentle smile on offer and endless patience. Her secret: early to bed, and lots of sleep.
